Universal Storage Search (USS) is a client-side Minecraft mod that helps you find items across storage containers you have already opened.
Instead of checking chest after chest trying to remember where you left something, USS keeps track of previously opened storage blocks and lets you search their contents from one simple menu.
Press Y to open the Universal Storage Search interface.
- Search for items stored in containers you have already opened
- View the exact coordinates and dimension of each storage location
- Rename containers with custom USS names
- Sort items by name, amount, or rarity
- Filter storage types
- Exclude specific storage categories from search results
- Highlight storage locations in the world
- Create waypoints
- Teleport to a storage location when cheats or server permissions allow it
- Separate storage data for each world or server
- Automatically removes remembered storage locations when the original container no longer exists
- Long custom names automatically scroll so they remain readable
USS currently supports:
- Chests
- Double Chests
- Trapped Chests
- Barrels
- Shulker Boxes
- Ender Chests
- Furnaces
- Blast Furnaces
- Smokers
- Hoppers
- Droppers
- Dispensers
USS does not scan containers through walls or discover storage you have never accessed.
A container is only added to USS after you personally open it. The mod remembers the items that were inside at the time of the last scan.
Because of this, stored information can become outdated if another player changes the container while you are away.
USS is also read-only. You cannot remotely take, move, or deposit items through the search menu.
