True Darkness darkens nights and caves by modifying the vanilla lightmap, but shader packs ignore that texture and recompute lighting themselves — so installing both at once normally produces fully-lit nights with shaders enabled. TDC fixes this for supported shaders.
Also normalizes held-item light values from modded items so a glowing modded item behaves like a vanilla torch instead of out-ranging the pack's falloff math.
