The Silence is an infection mod, that's completely silent.
When you spawn in, you'll have a start infection button. Right-click this to start the infection at you position. Then, run.
Mobs touching the silent dirt will be converted into disquieters, which in turn convert more mobs. When you kill a disquieter, it'll leave behind a dangerous infection cloud that can convert more mobs.
Every now and then, silencers will spawn. These skeletal creatures are very dangerous, because the more they kill, the stronger they become. Kill them as fast as possible.
You can craft sonic tools to fight the infection using iron and diamonds.
The infection is fully customizable, and there are some things you can toggle:
DoBulbGrowth determines whether small pillars known as bulbs should generate.
DoDisquieterTrail determines whether disquieters should sometimes place silent dirt as they move.
DoSilencerSpawning determines whether silencers can spawn or not.
DoForcefieldParticles determines whether sonic forcefields create particles. (Disable if experiencing lag)
InfectionSpeed is how fast the infection spreads. (Default: 100, resets on re-log)
