Hello, I'm Ethroe, and this is my first mod The Obsidian Guard! This is a small mod that adds a new item called the Obsidian Chunk which can be used to craft obsidian tools and obsidian armor. This mod also adds its namesake, The Obsidian Guard, a rare mob which will follow you around, fighting enemies and sporting a really nice set of obsidian armor, as long as you are holding an obsidian sword. This mod is a work in progress and I will continue to update as well as post some more of my mods. If you come across any bugs please let me know in the comments and I will do my best to fix them.

If you right-click on the Obsidian Guard with a Wooden Sword in your hand he will replace it with an Obsidian Sword.
