Copy machine and pipe settings, save your favourite configurations, and reuse them across your builds.
The Configuration Gadget helps you set up supported machines, factories, pipes and conduits without repeating every setting by hand. Keep up to five named presets and switch between them in game.
Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge
Current version: 1.2.1 Release. Now available to download. Version 1.1.0 remains listed as the earlier public alpha.
The gadget copies configuration. Stored resources, energy, ownership and running crafting jobs stay with their original machines.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Shift + right-click a supported block | Copy its settings into the selected preset |
| Right-click a compatible block | Paste the selected settings |
| Right-click empty air | Open the preset menu |
| Shift + right-click empty air | Clear the selected preset's stored settings |
Choose a preset in the menu and give it a name to help you remember its purpose. Clearing stored settings keeps the preset's custom name.
For pipes and AE2 parts, aim at the connection or part you want to configure.

Coverage varies by device. Network pairing, wireless bindings, storage-cell contents and active crafting work remain local to each device. Some integrations are restricted to the reviewed versions above.
Use this project's Issues tab and check whether the problem has already been reported.
Please include what happened, what you expected, steps to reproduce it, and the versions of The Engineer's Toolkit, Minecraft, NeoForge and affected mods. Mention whether you are playing singleplayer or on a server, and include your modpack's name and version if applicable.
Screenshots and relevant logs help. For a crash, attach the matching crash report and logs/latest.log if available. Reports are public, so check attachments for private details before posting.
For inventory-related problems, mention which upgrades, capacitors, filters, cards or blank patterns you had available. For pipe problems, show how the pipes connect to the machines.
You can still submit a report if you cannot provide every detail.
The Engineer's Toolkit provides a compatibility API and data definitions so other mods can add support for their own configurable blocks. Additional integrations can also be developed within the toolkit.
Get the Developer Kit for Toolkit 1.1.0, also listed under Additional Files on the matching mod download.
It contains the integration guide, JSON definition format, API v1 source reference and HTML documentation, compatibility notes, and a working example with machine and pipe adapters. The independent example code is MIT-licensed so you can copy and adapt it for your own mod. The main Toolkit mod remains All Rights Reserved.
The API is already included in the normal mod JAR. Developers should extract the ZIP and start with README.md; players only need the mod JAR. Do not put the developer ZIP or API source attachment in your mods folder.
