The Backrooms Experience brings a progression-based Backrooms adventure to Minecraft, with multiple playable levels, puzzles, entities, environmental storytelling and a noclip system that can pull you out of reality at any moment.
Explore strange environments, search for supplies, solve objectives and find your way deeper into the Backrooms.
You do not need a portal or a command.
While exploring the Overworld, a hidden noclip event can occur naturally.
Every time you enter the Overworld — including after returning from the Backrooms — the mod chooses a random travel distance between 20 and 100 blocks.
Once you travel that distance, reality begins to distort.
A short cinematic sequence starts...
...and you fall into the Backrooms.
Your journey begins inside the iconic yellow rooms of the Backrooms.
Explore seemingly endless corridors, search the environment for supplies and try not to lose your sense of direction.
Your objective is simple:
Survive, explore, and find the route to the next level.
The next area takes you into a massive industrial maintenance complex.
The facility is not fully operational when you arrive.
You will need to:
Explore the industrial environment
Find what is required to restore power
Complete the level objective
Activate the freight elevator
Use the elevator to descend further into the Backrooms
Be careful while exploring. You may not be alone.
A 40×40 Poolrooms-inspired maze filled with water, interconnected paths and colored clues.
Finding the exit is only part of the challenge.
To escape, you must:
Explore the maze
Locate the exit slide door
Discover the hidden color sequence
Find and interact with the terminal
Enter the colors in the correct order
Unlock the exit
Pay attention to your surroundings. The environment itself contains the clues you need.
Some Backrooms levels contain hostile entities.
Stay alert, manage your resources and listen carefully to the environment.
Not every sound means danger...
...but many do.
Commands are mainly provided for testing, administration and development.
