- balanced value in chests is supposed to benefit the player but not create technological progress - increased rarity of ships in deep seas - all ships are defended, so it won't be easy to capture whatever they're carrying - ships galleons and frigates appear in the deep oceans - smaller ships and cutters appear on the oceans and coastal areas
