Are firearm mods a little too realistic for your tastes?
This mod adds 33 different guns straight from terraria for you to smack some mobs with.
To obtain a weapon, all you need to do is craft and break a weapon crate. It will either randomly select a gun to drop or give you another crate to try your luck with again.
Ammo recipes can be found through JEI.
