A dedicated Miner profession has its own Mining Station, skin and five levels of ore and tool trades. Miners borrow real pickaxes, collect ore drops, expand stairways and tunnels, and deliver cargo to nearby storage. Their tools, cargo and mine plans persist after reloading. Scientists now keep their work position and retain earned experiment progress across brief interruptions.
Install one Smart Villagers JAR matching your Minecraft version and loader on both client and server. Fabric also requires Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer and Fabric API for the matching Minecraft version. Java 17 is required for Minecraft 1.19.2/1.20.1, and Java 21 for 1.21.11.
