Why do eggs only stack to 16?

Why not make Cartons out of 6 eggs and stack those to 64?

384 eggs in one slot. That should be enough...

Not enough? You want to make Crates out of 8 Cartons and stack THOSE to 64 too?

Alright, here's that option. 3072 eggs per slot. I think egg storage problems are permanantly gone now.
