The Schools of Magic Mod allows a player to delve deeply into a new world of magic. Explore the world finding spellbooks, herbs, gems, and new creatures. Perhaps if you demonstrate magical skill by brewing a potion, creating a golem, and enchanting an object, a mysterious teacher will send you instructions on how to become a true magician.

Features:

• A magician can conjure and create a wide variety of spells, using a combination of skill, mana, and materials.

• Spells can fall into 1 of 6 Schools of Magic
  
  1.  Evocation: Magic that causes damage to a subject, including attack spells
  2.  Abjuration: Magic that protects and buffs a subject
  3.  Transfiguration: Magic that modifies the physical characteristics of a subject
  4.  Conjuration: Magic that conjures a subject often to or from another location, sometimes from non-existence itself
  5.  Divination: Magic that reveals truths about a subject
  6.  Illusion: Magic that conceals or deceives a subject
• Spells can also take the shape of 16 different magic elements ranging from pyromancy to necromancy

• Spells can be cast with a customizable Magic Wand and the effects of these spells can be modified
• One acquires spells from spellbooks, tomes, and other ancient manuscripts and pages or one can attempt to discover spells using the spell forge. You can add these to your own customizable grimoire.
• One can create advanced potions using the new potion system centered around the Arcane Cauldron, allowing you to brew potions with multiple effects. With 58 potion effects to choose from the possibilities are endless.

• Enjoy the 16 new crops, +18 new ores, a new armor and toolset, new traps, blocks, items, and 44 new potion effects
• Have fun with the useful constructs such as the obsidian pressure plate, which is only activated by players; the Spear Trap, which launches a spear in front of the trap when a creature walks in front of it; Wood Planters, which allows one to grow crops and plants without water; and the Potion Bag, which allows one to store and throw potions.
• Find all 16 of the new magician structures and discover their secrets

Eventually, we'll get back the Ziggurat new and improved. Right now I'm sourcing community submissions for challenge rooms to add to the structure, for details check out the discord!

I'm also working on a new dimension, the Faegrove, which will be loosely based on Dnd's Feywild, Folklore, and the Labyrinth. You can check it out in creative using the command "/tpdim 2" please note that 2 is not always the dimension id, it's set up to use the first available dimension id, so if you have a mod that adds a dimension that uses id 2 try id 3. So far I've added three new stone types: Sylphite, Mud Marble, and Gypsum and an exclusive biome, the Labyrinth biome. I'm also doing my best to create a unique underground experience.
