This mod adds a hydraulic press that crushes blocks with real material physics. Nothing is scripted: every block under the plate is simulated, so gold behaves like gold, glass like glass and slime like slime.
What happens under the press
- Gold and copper flatten into a wide pancake.
- Iron barely gives way. The press stops at its force limit.
- Glass, diamond, stone and wood crack and burst into flying shards.
- Wool and sponges squash and then spring back.
- Slime and honey squish and ooze out to the sides.
- TNT explodes.
- Obsidian, netherite and bedrock are stronger than the press. At 80 000 t the press itself breaks apart.
A gauge above the hotbar shows the force in tonnes. You hear the pump hum, the metal groan and the relief valve scream when the limit is reached.
What you get back
- Punch a flattened block and you get the block back. A wet sponge comes out dry.
- Brittle blocks give up their contents when they burst. A block of diamond gives 9 diamonds, and the same goes for emerald, lapis, redstone and coal. Quartz, amethyst and glowstone blocks give 4 of their item.
- Stone crumbles to cobblestone, wood to sticks, glass and ice to nothing.
How to use
Craft the press from 7 iron ingots, 1 piston and 1 water bucket:
I I I
I P I
I W I
Place it above the block you want to crush, with one block of air between them. The plate reaches up to 2 blocks down.
Right-click the press or give it a redstone pulse.
Options
Open Options → Prasa (Press)... in game (prasa is Polish for press). You can:
- switch the press on or off;
- set the force limit and the plate speed;
- show or hide the force gauge;
- decide whether the press can break;
- choose the simulation detail.
Operators also have /prasa start | info | bodies | stats | clear.
Requirements
- Minecraft 26.2 with Fabric Loader 0.19 or newer and Fabric API.
- Works with Sodium and Iris.
- The screenshots are taken with a shader pack. Without one, the press looks like the rest of vanilla Minecraft.
- In multiplayer, install it on the server and on every client.
