Ragnarok WorldGen reshapes Minecraft's Overworld around a large-scale North-to-South climate system, creating a world where exploration feels like a true journey across different regions.
Travel far north and you'll reach frozen landscapes, snowy forests and icy mountains. Head south and the world gradually becomes warmer, passing through temperate forests and lush regions before reaching savannas, badlands and vast arid territories.
Instead of distributing every biome randomly across the world, Ragnarok WorldGen organizes the Overworld into five major climate regions:
❄️ Polar → 🌲 Boreal → 🌿 Temperate → 🌴 Warm → 🏜️ Arid
Climate borders are naturally distorted by Minecraft's terrain parameters, preventing the regions from appearing as simple straight lines.
Ragnarok WorldGen preserves and integrates important parts of Minecraft's world generation, including:
The goal is not simply to add more biomes, but to make the world feel larger, more coherent and worth exploring.
Selected Biomes O' Plenty biomes are integrated into the Ragnarok climate system to enrich the world without overwhelming vanilla generation.
Current integrations include:
Snowy Coniferous Forest • Redwood Forest • Bayou • Wasteland
The mod adds its own Ragnarok world preset.
Simply select Ragnarok when creating a new world to generate an Overworld using the Ragnarok climate system.

Ragnarok WorldGen is also designed to work alongside terrain-generation mods such as Tectonic, allowing terrain mods to shape the landscape while Ragnarok controls the large-scale biome and climate distribution.
Ragnarok WorldGen is the foundation of a larger modular world-generation project.
Future Ragnarok modules can expand the world with new regions, environments and exploration experiences while keeping the core world-generation system independent.
