Let's be real. Mending is useful - yes, but its annoying to pick up XP orbs to use the enchantment. Thats where Omni Mending comes in. You can press G holding any tool enchanted with mending to repair your tool using your already collected XP. You need at least 5 XP levels to repair from anywhere. By sneaking and pressing G you can change the auto repair speed.
