Vanilla Minecraft's noteblocks are limited to 2 octaves. This is, well, limiting. This mod extends the range 2 octaves above and 2 octaves below making it a total of 6 octaves.
shift right click the noteblock to cycle between the vanilla octaves, the upper 2 octaves, and the lower 2 octaves.
for the technical minecrafter, this setting is stored as a blockstate EnumProperty named "octave" with possible values "low", "mid", "high". /setblock or similar specifying this property will place a noteblock with the specified octave.
