Not So Shrimple returns to Minecraft 1.20.1 — rebuilt, reworked, and reshrimpled.
Not So Shrimple: Reshrimpled is a Forge reimagining and continuation of Not So Shrimple, originally created by peeko32213.
This is not a direct 1:1 port.
Reshrimpled brings the mod to modern Forge, reworks several systems, improves configurability, adjusts spawning, and expands the original idea into a cleaner Minecraft 1.20.1 experience with hostile crustaceans, shipwreck encounters, animated weapons.

Not So Shrimple: Reshrimpled adds dangerous crustaceans, strange aquatic encounters, animated weapons, upgrade items, and prawn-based food to your world.
The goal is to keep the chaotic aquatic spirit of the original mod, while making it more controlled, configurable, and easier to use in modern survival worlds and modpacks.
Built for:

Crayfish are hostile semi-aquatic mobs with several visual variants.
They are aggressive, durable, and can appear in different forms depending on the environment and summoning conditions.
In Reshrimpled, crayfish encounters have been redesigned around more controlled spawning. Natural crayfish spawning is enabled by default, but can be disabled or adjusted through config options. The Bucket of Bait acts as the main intended way to deliberately summon crayfish when you want to trigger an encounter yourself.
Crayfish variants include:

The Maneater is a hostile shell creature found near shipwrecks.
In Reshrimpled, Maneater spawning has been reworked so encounters feel more deliberate and less spammy.
Maneaters can appear near:
Their spawn rates are intentionally limited, so finding one feels like an actual event instead of random mob clutter.
The Bucket of Bait is the main controlled summoning item for crayfish.
Craft it using a bucket and raw fish, then throw it into water or lava. After a short delay, it has a configurable chance to summon a crayfish nearby.
Summoning rules:
This makes crayfish encounters more intentional while keeping the danger and weirdness of the original mod.
The River-Prawn Greatclaw is a custom animated GeckoLib weapon.
It features:
The harder you fall, the wider the slam impact becomes.
In other words: gravity is now part of the weapon. Very safe. Very balanced. Definitely not a workplace hazard.
The mod also includes:
Smithing and Somber Stones can upgrade supported equipment, with configurable caps and tag-based blacklist/whitelist support.
Configurable features include:
These options make the mod easier to balance in larger modpacks without removing its chaos completely.
A new mob is already in development for a future update.
It is not available in the current release yet. More details will be shared once the creature is closer to release.
