If you install Thaumcraft 6, you will see the vanilla barrier is renamed to warding aura. This is beacause the translation key of TC6 warding aura is same as the vanilla barrier ones, which makes conflict. The mod forces the game reading language files according to their doamin (literally modid) to fix the conflict.
