NekoHelper is designed to make your Neko feel like a companion rather than only a utility mob.
You can interact with your Neko in several ways, including:
Holding hands
Giving head pats
Sleeping nearby
Building affection over time
Your Neko remembers its own settings and progression independently.
Give your Neko a sword or axe, enable Follow, and turn on Guard mode.
Your Neko can protect you from nearby hostile mobs and prioritise enemies involved in combat with you or your companion.
The sword uses a fast three-hit combo. Your Neko continues approaching the target during the combo and uses sweep-style visual effects.
The axe uses a slower, heavier attack with additional knockback and critical-style visual effects.
Your Neko does not automatically hunt passive animals. However, if you attack a valid target first, your Neko can assist you.
Protected targets such as the owner and other friendly entities are excluded from normal automatic targeting.
Attacks still check distance and line of sight. Enemies that move out of range or behind obstacles can cause attacks to miss.
Visual sweep and critical effects do not automatically deal area damage.
Your Neko can become more capable as it progresses.
Higher-level combat systems include special abilities such as Whirlwind Slash and the Last Stand mechanic.
These abilities complement the normal sword and axe combat system and reward keeping and developing the same companion over time.
Give your Neko a suitable pickaxe, enable Follow, and turn Mining on.
Your Neko searches for nearby exposed ores, attempts to navigate to them and mines them automatically.
Mining uses Minecraft's normal block loot system, allowing enchantments such as:
Fortune
Silk Touch
Tool mining requirements are respected.
NekoHelper also avoids several dangerous mining situations, including water or lava hazards, falling blocks and unsafe blocks supporting the player or Neko.
Your Neko does not automatically dig tunnels through ordinary stone to reach hidden ores.
Sneak + right-click your Neko with an empty hand to open the management screen.
The Ore Selection menu lets you choose from 11 ore groups:
Coal
Copper
Iron
Gold
Redstone
Lapis Lazuli
Diamond
Emerald
Nether Gold
Nether Quartz
Ancient Debris
You can enable any combination, select everything, or clear the selection to temporarily disable automatic ore mining.
Each Neko has its own personal inventory and equipment.
Your companion can carry collected items and use appropriate equipment for different activities.
Pickaxes are used for mining, while swords and axes are used for combat.
NekoHelper also includes armour equipment, allowing your companion to wear protective gear for more dangerous adventures.
Inventory, equipment and other companion data persist with each individual Neko.
Cookies are an important part of caring for your Neko.
They are used to tame your companion and can also be used by NekoHelper's automatic recovery systems.
A Neko can use available cookies to recover health, helping it survive longer during exploration and combat.
Defeat does not necessarily have to be the end of your companion.
NekoHelper includes revival mechanics that allow a Neko to return under the appropriate conditions.
More developed companions can also gain access to Last Stand, providing an additional survival mechanic during dangerous battles.
NekoHelper includes its own custom advancement tree with achievements covering:
Companion interactions
Exploration
Combat
Mining
Progression
Survival
Special challenges
Some advancements are straightforward, while others reward unusual accomplishments or long-term progression with your Neko.
Each Neko stores its own data.
This includes systems such as:
Follow / Stay state
Guard settings
Mining settings
Ore preferences
Inventory
Equipment
Armour
Companion progression
Your configuration therefore stays attached to the individual Neko rather than being a temporary global setting.
