Description

Made for FTB Presents Stoneblock 2

This mod adds two new bosses, the Ender Chicken and the Chaos Chicken (to replace the Ender Dragon and the Chaos Dragon from Draconic Evolution)

To spawn them, you need to make a ring of 8 Obsidian with a Diamond Block in the middle, and drop and egg onto it for the Ender Chicken, or a Dragon Egg onto it for the Chaos Chicken. This spawning can be locked into a specific dimension via the config.

Once spawned, the chicken will need to break out of its egg. You may help by hitting it with a weapon, but only if it does enough damage.

When the egg has hatched, the chicken will form a forcefield around itself. This forcefield blocks all incoming damage except melee damage, which takes down the forcefield. It can be configured to require a specific item to disable the forcefield.

Attacks:

The chickens have various different attacks, all tweakable in the config. The letters in the brackets will let you know which chickens have these attacks by default. (E = Ender Chicken, C = Chaos Chicken)

Charge (E, C):

The chicken stares at its target and growls. When it's ready, it rushes forward with a charge cry that does significant amounts of damage and proceeds until the chicken hits a wall or runs too far.

Clearing an Area (E, C):

If the chicken is starting to feel a little claustrophobic, it may let out a small cry, proceeding with a massive explosion. This allows it to open up more space for it to walk around, since it's so big and all.

Clearing away Entities (E, C):

So, unlike normal chickens, these ones do not like if there are entities underneath it. If it senses entities close by it may start flapping to try and blow the entities away. There's also a chance that the chicken may do this to blow arrows away.

Laser (E, C):

So, I'm sure that by now, you've noticed that the wattle of the chicken glows. You may wonder, what's it for? It's actually a giant laser firing wattle. The chicken is normally quite a bad shot, though. However, if its target goes above the body, there's a higher chance of him firing off a charge, and if the target flies over the head, the chicken puts all of its focus into locking on to the target. Anywho, when the laser does hit something, the laser reacts with the air, somehow leaving a small pocket of Dragon's Breath.

Forcefield Retaliate (E):

So once you knock down the forcefield, the chicken doesn't really like that. It then tries to chase after you and peck you as hard as it can. It then freaks out with overwhelming anxiety and runs away. It worked hard on that forcefield!

Forcefield Regeneration (C):
As if the fight couldn't be difficult enough, the chicken could actually regenerate its forcefield from time to time. You know what to do.

Spinning Attack (E):
So, sometimes the chicken goes into a frenzy and starts spinning around, spewing explosive eggs everywhere! Don't worry though, the eggs are mostly harmless. Mostly.

Strafing Run (C):
That said... Sometimes the explosive eggs seem to know where you are. Look out for when a chicken seems to just randomly spit out eggs for no better reason!

And that's it. The chickens have their own loot tables but do not drop any loot. As this mod was made for mod packs, it's up to the mod pack makers to add items to the loot table themselves.

Have fun!
