Merchant's Spark is inspired by the lore of Magic: The Gathering. In the Multiverse, Planeswalkers travel between worlds, bringing knowledge, goods, and strange discoveries from distant planes.
In this mod, those Planeswalkers arrive as wandering merchants, appearing throughout your world to trade unique items, offer special services, and provide quests. Think of them as an expanded Wandering Trader system with progression, reputation, and much more depth.
This mod is still a WIP, but is really close to finished. Any feedback is appreciated!
The mod currently adds 15 unique merchants from four different planes chosen for how well they fit Minecraft's gameplay.
Every merchant has a reputation system.
The more you trade, complete quests, and interact with merchants, the more reputation you earn. Higher reputation unlocks:

Multiverse Merchants also adds new world interactions.
Many naturally generated chests can spawn with locks. To open them, you'll need to obtain the correct keys through merchant trading and progression.
Merchants do not appear immediately in a new world.
A fresh world must survive for approximately 20 minutes before merchants begin arriving. Some merchants also have additional requirements that must be met before they can appear.

The mod adds over 50 new enchantments and curses inspired by Magic: The Gathering mechanics.
For the best experience, it is recommended to install the Enchantment Descriptions mod.
Throughout the world, players can discover ancient texts and forgotten knowledge.
Transcribing these texts can unlock powerful one-time-use spells inspired by the magic of the Multiverse.
