Ever chopped down a forest and wondered why all that wood couldn't be put to better use? Log Melter changes that, throw any log into a furnace, blast furnace, or campfire, and watch it break down into gunpowder.
No new blocks, no complicated machines, no crafting table gymnastics. Just smelt logs the same way you'd smelt ore, and get a steady, renewable source of gunpowder in return. Works with every log type in the game, oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, crimson stem, warped stem — stripped or not.
Features:
🔥 Furnace – standard smelting speed (10s)
⚒️ Blast Furnace – twice as fast (5s)
🏕️ Campfires – slow and steady (30s), great for AFK setups
🌲 Works with all vanilla log variants automatically (uses the #minecraft:logs tag)
🎯 Lightweight and fully data-driven, no gameplay systems altered beyond the new recipes
Why?
Great for creepy-crafting-adjacent survival worlds, TNT-heavy builds, firework enthusiasts, or anyone who wants a low-effort gunpowder farm that doesn't rely on creeper grinders.
Imporant note: Because minecraft has already a recipe where players can smelt logs for charcoal I recommend using a mod like Polymorph,Kube JS, CraftTweaker, Almost Unified to switch smoothly between recipies.
