Legendary Lonsdaleite - Powerful New Ore and Tools!

Legendary Lonsdaleite adds a powerful new ore, armor set, and tool set to Minecraft.

Lonsdaleite is a real-world mineral that has been found to be stronger than Diamonds. The purpose of this mod is to add a balanced additional tier of Armor and Tools with extra strength, along with specialty tools and items to provide the player with an Overworld alternative to Netherite.

Hidden in the depths of the Minecraft world - created by years of pressure and darkness, Lonsdaleite can be mined with a Diamond pickaxe or better at depths of:

The ore itself drops a single, brittle Lonsdaleite Shard. A shard alone currently provides no use, but once cut with Diamonds, the mysterious and powerful cut Lonsdaleite Gem is born. The journey to a full set of gear and tools is a long one, but worth it.

Cut Lonsdaleite can be used to craft an armor set, sword, and tool set using the traditional recipes we all know. In addition to those items, the Lonsdaleite Healing Gem can be crafted using Cut Lonsdaleite Gems, Diamonds, and a Healing Potion.

The Healing Gem must be held in the player's main hand or off hand to provide healing. As the player takes damage, the Healing Gem will provide rapid health regeneration - regardless of the player's hunger level. As the Healing Gem heals the player, it's own durability is slowly lost. The Healing Gem will never break completely, and can be recharged with Cut Lonsdaleite at an Anvil. Full Lonsdaleite Armor along with a charged Healing Gem will provide the player with an almost-invincible ability.

 Lonsdaleite armors, tools, and weapons will provide the player with more protection, damage, and durability than Vanilla Netherite gear.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The generation of Lonsdaleite Ore only works in newly generated chunks. This means that you will have to either create a new world, or explore further out into your existing world to encounter Lonsdaleite Ore.
