About this mod

The Lava Rod mod is a powerful weapon mod that will add a few new fiery weapons into the game, which are called "lava rods". They are not very difficult to craft at all, but will become much harder to craft as you continue upgrading them. The weapons you can craft are the Lava Rod, Soul Lava Rod, Golden Soul Lava Rod, Mixed Lava Rod and the Magic Lava Rod. Before you can get them, you'll need an Iron Rod.

Each Rod is different, and all have their own uses. Every rod has unique attacks that do different things, but other rod's unique attacks will be different than the others and might not have that same attack. Example: The Lava Rod has a special attack called an "Aerial Attack" which can be done by attacking a mob while airborne at any point, but the Soul Lava Rod does not have that same attack, and instead has an attack called a "Sneaking Attack", which the Lava Rod does not have. This attack can be done by sneaking and attacking a mob.

Knowing what the rod you're using does could really save you depending on what kind of situation you're in.

Iron Rod

This rod is what you need to craft the Lava Rod, and the Soul Lava Rod.

Lava Rod

The Lava Rod is a fiery rod which let's you set mobs on fire by just swinging it at them, be careful though, you'll set yourself on fire when swinging!

What can it do?

• You can set mobs on fire for 13 seconds
• you will be set on fire for 1 second when you swing
• Mobs will get the slowness effect when being hit
• Mobs in water will take more damage from the Lava Rod

Aerial attack:

• Mobs will get the mining fatigue effect for 1 minute
• Mobs will get the slowness 2 effect for 6 second

Offhand bonuses:

When you hold two Lava Rods at the same time, or a Soul Lava Rod in your offhand slot while holding a Lava Rod, you will get extra bonus effects when hitting mobs.

 Double Lava Rod Bonuses:

• You will get the speed 2 effect for 9.8 ticks each time you hit a mob

Soul Lava Rod Offhand Bonuses:

• You will get the Jump Boost 2 effect for 15 ticks

Soul Lava Rod

The Soul Lava Rod is an upgrade to the Lava Rod. It's slightly stronger, and even gives you effects for attacking mobs!

What can it do?

• You will not be set on fire for swinging
• Mobs will be set on fire for 15 seconds
• Mobs will get the wither effect when hit

Sneaking attack:

• You will get the wither effect for 1 second
• You will get the speed for 2 seconds
• Mobs will get the weakness effect for 4 seconds.

Block Replace Ability:

Right clicking any block will break the block and replace it with Soul Sand, previous block will be dropped

Golden Soul Lava Rod

The Golden Soul Lava Rod is an upgrade to the Soul Lava Rod. It's very slightly weaker, but gives very useful effects.

What can it do?

• Mobs will be set on fire for 2 seconds when hit

Sneaking attack:

• Mobs will get the weakness 2 effect when being hit
• Mobs will get the nausea effect for a short time when being hit
• Mobs will be set on fire for 8.5 seconds

Sneaking Right Click Ability:

• You will get the Regeneration 2 effect for 4 seconds
• You will be blinded for 8 seconds

Mixed Lava Rod

The Mixed Lava Rod is an upgrade to the Soul Lava Rod. This rod is a mix of the Lava Rod and the Soul Lava Rod, giving you a mix of the two rods, having higher attack damage than the Lava Rod, but not as strong as the Soul Lava Rod.

What can it do?

• Mobs will be set on fire for 6 seconds
• Mobs will get the wither effect

Aerial Attack:

• Mobs will get the weakness effect for 4 seconds
• Mobs will get the slowness effect for 6 seconds
• Mobs will get the mining fatigue effect for 1 minute

Sneaking Attack:

• You will get the wither effect for 1 second
• You will get the speed effect for 2 seconds

Magic Lava Rod

The Magic Lava Rod is an upgrade to the Lava Rod. It has the lowest attack damage out of all the other rods, but it comes with very powerful abilities.

What can it do?

• Mobs will be set on fire for 4 seconds when hit

Sneaking Attack

• Mobs will get the levitation effect for 1 second when being hit

Airborne Mob Attack Bonuses

If you attack a mob while it's in the air, the mob you hit will be given extra effects

• Mob will get the weakness 2 effect for 10 seconds
• Mob will get the poison effect for 15 seconds

Special Offhand Bonuses

If you hold certain items in your offhand slot while holding the Magic Lava Rod, you will be given a certain effect for as long as you hold that item.

• Holding a Honey Bottle in your offhand will give you the levitation effect

Night Bonuses

During the night, holding the Magic Lava Rod will give effects, and holding certain items in your offhand while holding the Magic Lava Rod will give you extra effects for as long as you hold it.

• Holding a shield will give the slowness and resistance effect
