First of all, you will not be able to cut down a tree, instead you will first have to get sticks from the leaves and then get flint, and after that get plant fiber and make plant string, with this you can create a flint axe and be able to cut down your first tree!
Now when you chop an iron ore instead of getting 1 Raw Iron you will get between 4 to 7 raw iron nuggets, with 9 of these you will get 1 Raw Iron.
