When you open the debug overlay (F3) while looking at your horse you get this:
All you need to know about your little baby can be seen now.
(In 1.2.1+ version)
You can get a 3d overlay of the stats, the mod will mark with a star the better stats in a 64 blocks radius, a star on the top is for the best overall stats.
You can toggle this option by setting a key in the key binding.
