HempCraft

Grow hemp, dry and grind the buds, roll joints and pack your harvest with a Sorting Machine. Everything is explained in-game in the HempCraft Handbook (craft a book with any hemp seeds).

Farming

• Hemp grows on farmland through 8 stages and gets two blocks tall. Bonemeal works.
• Right-click a flowering plant to harvest it. You get buds, fiber and seeds, and the plant replants itself.
• Shears trim only the buds (2–4) and leave the plant standing, so it flowers again sooner.
• Get your first seeds by breaking grass (1 in 8), or find wild hemp growing in plains, savannas and flower forests.

Three strains

Every strain has its own seeds, buds, dried hemp, ground hemp, joints and packed buds.

Processing

• Drying: smelt or smoke buds, or hang up to 4 on a Drying Rack. They dry in about a minute (faster with a higher random tick speed). Right-click the rack to check progress or take the dried hemp down.
• Grinder: dried hemp + grinder = 2 ground hemp. The grinder stays in the grid and slowly wears down.
• Rolling Paper: 3 paper in a row makes 6.
• Joint: rolling paper + ground (or dried) hemp.

Smoking

• Hold flint and steel in your other hand and right-click a joint to light it.
• Hold right-click to take a puff. There are 4 puffs per joint, with a short cooldown between them.
• Effects stack with every puff, and from the 3rd puff you also get Nausea.

Packing

• Plastic Bags: slime ball + 2 paper makes 4.
• Sorting Machine: put dried hemp in the top slot and bags in the bottom one. Every 10 seconds it packs 8 hemp into one Packed Buds. Hoppers can feed it and empty it.
• Packed Buds stack to 16. Right-click one to unpack it and get the hemp and the bag back.

• Hemp Block (9 fiber), string from 3 fiber, and compostable hemp items.
• A custom creative tab with everything.
