This is a simple mod that adds a headshot mechanic, causing projectiles to deal extra damage (x2 by default) when hitting a living entity's head.
The headshot area is centered at the entity's eye level, extending upwards and downwards by the distance from the eye level to the top of the head. Therefore, this mod might not work very well for non-bipedal entities or those with unusual head shapes, and I have excluded Animal entities from the mechanic.
Entity blacklist, projectile blacklist, headshot damage multiplier, and whether to notify the Headshooter and the victim are all configurable.
I made this mod because I couldn't find a independent headshot mod compatible with Minecraft Forge 1.20.1. Some mods (like Guns Craft) have already included a headshot mechanic, so you may not need this mod or might need to adjust it.
