🎄 Christmas

While Santa was travelling across the Overworld, it seems that he inadvertently left his things on his sleigh unsecured, littering many magical things across the Minecraft Overworld! In view of this blunder, Santa has enlisted the help of you, the player, to help him gather what has been lost and hopefully, get everything back together before something bad happens!

Happy Holiday's Christmas Edition adds a ton of new blocks, items and entities for players to interact with. Some of these include:
✔ Various ornaments (baubles, big baubles, tinsel, christmas lights, mob heads, legendary ornaments) for players to use to decorate their own Christmas trees!
✔ A variety of Christmas related foods for players to lay out a grand feast!
✔ Sheet music for famous Christmas carols that can be played on music boxes!
✔ Christmas Stars to not only complement your tree, but also to fill up with legendary ornaments for in-game buffs and enhancements!
✔ Various new mobs, such as the Gingerbread Man, the Grinch and even Santa for you to meet and interact with!
✔ Gift wrapping features for players to give gifts to everyone!
✔ Advancements and in-game guides to aid players in navigating through the content of the mod!
✔ And many more!

❓ FAQ

Q: Where do I start when it comes to Happy Holidays?
A: There are advancements in the game that will help guide you along the content for each particular holiday. Not only that, there's also a craftable guide book that gives you more detailed explanations and introductions to various content of the mod! Finally, if you need technical assistance, the GitHub wiki is a great place to read up on various aspects of the mod!

❗ Disclaimer

Happy Holidays is a work in progress and a lot of the features of the mod will be tweaked and improved upon with every update, so please provide feedback for me to improve on whatever has been implemented! Also, I recommend you backup any existing worlds before updating. The mod is subjected to changes that could potentially disrupt any progress you have made, so just in case it's better to have a back up for you to revert to! I am not responsible for any corruption that may be caused due to the installation of Happy Holidays.

For users upgrading the mod from one version to the next (e.g. 1.17 to 1.18): currently there is a huge issue where the Forge is unable to detect the updated IDs of the items in the game and as a result deletes all content from containers (i.e. in chests, in the Christmas Star) with Happy Holidays items inside. Therefore, it's probably best that you don't update your world first!
