Originally starting out as a standalone "Return by Death" mechanic, this mod has now expanded to bring the wider powers and abilities of Re:Zero straight into Minecraft!
Survive the unimaginable with the signature ability of Natsuki Subaru.
Dynamic Checkpoints: The mod automatically sets checkpoints throughout your playthrough. By default, these trigger every 30 seconds, whenever you sleep in a bed, or when you earn an achievement.
Complete World Reversion: If you die at any point, the entire world rewinds to the exact time of your last checkpoint.
Player State Restoration: Your health, hunger, and inventory are completely reset to how they were at the checkpoint.
Entity & Environment Reset: The positions of all mobs are returned, lives taken are restored, world time is reverted, and any blocks broken or placed during that timeframe are completely undone.
Embrace the shadows and wield incredible new powers. The mod now includes multiple Authorities!
Expanded Abilities: Wield powerful new Authorities inspired by the Witches of Sin and Sin Archbishops.
Unique Combat & Utility: Each new Authority introduces unique mechanics to completely change how you survive, fight, and traverse the world.
Growing Roster: More abilities and Re:Zero mechanics are actively being developed and added over time!
This mod comes with a dedicated configuration file, allowing you to adjust Return by Death and other mechanics exactly to your liking. It also includes the following commands for server admins and testing:
/rezero checkpoint - Manually sets a Return by Death checkpoint at your current moment.
/rezero authority [player] [authority_name] [true/false] - Grants or revokes specific Authorities for a player (e.g., returnbydeath, sloth, etc.).
/rezero revive [player] - Manually revives a player when playing in Hardcore mode.
/rezero halfheart - Instantly sets your health to half a heart to easily set up an insta-death or test mechanics.
