Fungal Fortifications is a mod that focuses on adding new mushroom-related additions to create an unique play style and unique locations to explore. This mod will allow you to become a shroomancer that harnesses the power of fungi to fight off enemies. This mod includes lots of new items, mobs and a whole new biome to explore.
With this mod installed, players will always start out with a "Vicious Fungi" accessory in their inventory, to allow people to play as a shroomancer as soon as they join a world.

NOTE: This mod is currently a work in progress, but already features a bunch of content. This mod is going to be updated to receive more features in the near future.

'The dead forest biome. A biome that has once been a forest with tall towering trees, only a shell of its previous glory. With all the fallen leaves, the dead forest became the perfect place for many varieties of fungi to grow. There are plans to add a lot more content to this biome in the future.'
'Fungi balls are the main accessories and weapons of shroomancers. In this mod, fungi can symbiose with you! Harvest fungi found in the dead forest biome and combine it to create Fungi Balls. Different Fungi Balls will grant different effects when you're attacked by an enemy, ranging from: applying a positive effect to the wearer, applying a negative effects to the attacker or dealing damage to the attacker for you! Fungi Balls are very powerful and some effects can stack, dealing massive damage or giving you powerful effects!'
'Fungalians. Fungalians are odd fungi people that have extraterrestrial origins.'
'Fungalian Warriors are the only hostile fungalian added by this mod (for now). They wield a fungalite blade and won't hesitate to attack the player. They drop varying amounts of Fungalite Doubloons upon death. They also will spawn in certain structures around the biome.'
'Fungalian Traders are passive fungalians that will trade with you. Trade with them using Fungalian Doubloons to obtain their bag that contains mystery loot. You can also sell any extra fungi you have to them for some extra doubloons.'
