Original Skewers mod by Cassadis here. This is a 1.16 port of that mod with some additions by me. Adds waffles, jam, jello, and various other food items made from vanilla ingredients.
The 1.16.4 jar file works for 1.16.5 as well. No special steps needed.

Raw skewers can be cooked inside a furnace or smoker for better hunger and saturation restoration!
I recommend installing Just Enough Items for the best experience.
