Emoticons Unofficial is a modern port of the original Emoticons mod for Minecraft 1.20.x.
This project was created to bring the classic emote and player animation system from Minecraft 1.12.2 to modern Minecraft, primarily to restore compatibility with the Blockbuster 1.20 port and its animation ecosystem.
The goal of this port is to preserve the original experience while updating the codebase for modern Minecraft versions. Existing emotes, animations, networking, and core behavior have been adapted to the new game architecture without changing how the mod feels to use.
Features:
• Port of the original Emoticons mod from Minecraft 1.12.2
• Designed to work alongside the Blockbuster 1.20 port
• Classic player emotes and animation system
• Multiplayer synchronization
• Modernized codebase for Minecraft 1.20.1-1.20.4
• Ongoing fixes and compatibility improvements
This is an unofficial community port. Full credit for the original Emoticons mod goes to McHorse and everyone who contributed to the original project.
If you encounter any issues or compatibility problems, please report them so they can be fixed in future updates.
