Elementals Reborn: Forge Combat is a Forge 1.20.1 compatibility version built from the original Elementals 1.48.6 mod.

We made it work in a Forge 1.20.1 modpack by creating a compatibility-patched version for the GeckoLib setup already used in the pack. The original Elementals mod was made for Fabric, so we ran it through Sinytra Connector and patched the GeckoLib incompatibility that caused it to crash with geckolib-forge-1.20.1-4.8.3.jar.
The final working jar was:
elementals-1.48.6-forge-geckolib-4.8.3-compat-java17.jar
What was changed:
Fixed the GeckoLib renderer crash.
Made the compatibility helper work on Java 17.
Kept the original Elementals gameplay mechanics unchanged.
Did not change abilities, damage, cooldowns, recipes, items, mobs, configs, or combat behavior.

Elementals Reborn: Forge Combat
This version is basically the original Elementals 1.48.6 mod adapted to run inside a Forge 1.20.1 environment using your Forge GeckoLib version.
