Companio
Small flying companions with the skins of any Minecraft player.
Companio adds visual companions that fly around on their own. Each one has its own skin, name and hat. They pick their own routes, avoid blocks, keep their distance from each other and speed up when they fall behind. A companion that gets stuck or is left too far away teleports back to you, and they follow you through portals.
The mod is entirely client-side. Nothing needs to be installed on the server, but only you can see your companions.
Features
Up to 16 companions at once.
A skin loaded from any Minecraft username, or the default Steve head.
Six hats: straw hat, top hat, scarecrow hat, Christmas wreath, halo and diving mask.
A separate name shown above each companion.
Skins and companions are kept between game sessions.
English and Russian localization.
Menu
The Companions button in the pause menu opens a screen where companions are created and removed instantly, without commands. Username, display name, hat and the remove button all sit in one row.
The same screen leads to the settings: flight distance and height, speed, catch-up speed, smoothness, turn sharpness, plus hat placement by height, forward and sideways, and its size. Everything is adjusted with sliders.
Installation
Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 or 26.3.
Fabric needs Fabric API and Cloth Config. Files are named companio-1.4+version.jar
NeoForge needs only Cloth Config. Files are named companio-1.4+version-neoforge.jar
Every game version has its own file and they are not interchangeable. Download the one matching your version and loader.
Notes
Companions exist only on your client. They have no hitbox, cannot interact with the world and give no gameplay advantage. The mod works on vanilla servers.
