A basic chiseled mod, ported from a previous modjam project. (Along with some new patterns and whatnot.) With charming chisels, you can:
- Craft chisels with the various vanilla patterns; and apply them to any chiselable stone. (Stone, Granite, Andesite, Diorite, Tuff, Deepslate, Blackstone, Nether Bricks, Red Nether Bricks, Sandstone, Red Sandstone, and Quartz.) Rarer chisels are substantially more expensive.
- Craft insets to decorate chiseled blocks with any vanilla mineral. (Copper, Iron, Gold, Glowstone, Redstone, Emerald, Lapis, Amethyst, Quartz, Diamond, and Netherite Scrap.)
- Use a planer, which removes insets from chiseled blocks, and reverts chiseled blocks back to their default state.
- ...12 distinct chisels, 12 stone types, and 12 minerals including the default state, makes for over 1,700 distinct patterns to chose from.
In addition, certain insets bestow special properties on chiseled blocks.
- Chiseled blocks with a redstone pattern can be toggled on and off with redstone power, and activate when stepped on.
- Chiseled blocks with an amethyst pattern glow in the dark, (with optifine and Mindthemood's Misselaneous resource pack enabled. This will eventually work with Polytone.)
- Chiseled blocks with a glowstone pattern emmit a decent amount of light, making for far more versatile lighting options.
- And chiseled blocks with a copper pattern progress through four states of ageing, and can be waxed/axed just like regular copper blocks.
Lastly, the mod adds four new advancements:
- Chiseled Jawline ~ Decorate a block using a chisel.
- Pricey Flair ~ Spend netherite scrap to decorate a chiseled block.
- OK Desu! ~ Pay tribute to the true hero of Earthbound. (Discover a secret chiseling pattern.)
- Creator ~ Pay tribute to an ancient artisan. (Discover an even more secret chiseling pattern.)
