--General Information--
Catastrophe is a content mod for Minecraft that adds new unique items, weapons, combat mechanics, equipment, mobs and challanges. There are also 4 new boss fights that provide a fun and challenging fight, once defeated they drop some nice loot or unlock certain parts of progression.

--Features--
-Accessories-
Accessories are pieces of equipment that can be worn to give the player some buffs or abilities. They can be crafted, found in structures, dropped by enemies and etc.
-(NOT RELEASED) Shield Parry-
While holding a shield, pressing R right before being hit attempts to perform a parry, blocking the attack and granting a second of invincibility. This has a 1 second cooldown but a successful parry allows you to parry again immediately.
There are 3 types of attacks which will affect how shields behave with them
Parriable
- Parriable attacks are indicated by a yellow exclamation mark
- They can be blocked or parried
Unparriable
- Unparriable attacks are indicated by a blue exclamation mark
- They cannot be blocked or parried so dodging them is advisable
Guard Break
- Guard Break attacks are indicated by a red exclamation mark
- They can be blocked or parried but will disable your shield for 10 seconds if you block and 5 seconds if you parry
- Additionally parrying deals 50% more damage
-Classes-
There are 4 different classes of weapons that each have their own way of being used
- Melee: A class revolved around close combat
- Ranged: A class revolved around using long ranged combat
- Magic: A class revolved around using Mana to cast spells and other magic attacks
- Summoner: A class revolved around summoning minions to fight for you
-Mana-
A new bar that is used to cast spells with magic weapons. You start out with 20 Max Mana which can be increased through various gears and permenant upgrades.
-Bosses-
There are 4 new bosses that the mod adds, each boss has unique attacks and a challenging fight, defeating them will reward you with some loot and some unlock certain parts of progression after their defeat
- Mineral Wraith: An evil spirit that has a rotating orbit of swords and armor made of copper. The boss uses lightning and electricity to attack you. Summoned using a Copper Token.
- Earthbound Wraith: An evil spirit that uses a construct of stone as armor. The boss uses deadly melee attacks and throws you around. Summoned using an Earthbound Core.
- Thorn Infested Armor: A venomous plant that wears the armor of one of its' past victims. The boss uses its axe to deal strong melee attacks and uses its' thorn tentacles to impale you. Summoned using a Poisoned Iron Heart.
- Sepulcher: A skeleton dark mage that uses its spell book to cast spells. The boss teleports around and uses shadow magic and dark related spells to attack you. Summoned using a Shadowflame Skull.
We promise to add more content and improve the existing content in the future, we just needed a release already so we can organize ourselves and make development easier
