Introduction

This simple mod makes the outside world unsurvivable for the player. When outside, the player is lit on fire and burned to death, BUT not like other mods, you're not able to hide under a single block (a roof). Sunlight from anyside causes the player to die. Use gas masks and tanks to save yourseful from suffocation. Water is also no saviore as all of the waters that are not underground have been irradiated, and give poison to the player (can be turned off in settings). When spawned you get a 25 minute headstart (by default)  to prepare tools, food, seeds (anything you'll need underground) and go underground. Build a base, farm, everything you need to survive (maybe even a underground railway to other places?). Start a server with your friends and prepare a underground city? Or rivalise and build bunkers as other players try to find you. Most importantly have fun!

GAS MASKS 0.1.5.0

Introducing gas masks and gas tanks in 0.1.5.0! 

In this update a very simple mechanic has been added adding some more possibilties for players. In the config have been added two more values that refer to the need of protection while being above ground. Two values as one that changes settings for day, and one for night. Using these values you can make players safe with protection (1), safe without protection (2), or not safe at all, ignoring protection (0)! As you can see, all of theses new mechanics are fully customisable. Gas masks can be created in a crafting table, as well as gas tanks. Gas tanks have 550 durability points which will randomly drop every couple of ticks. For the player to be safe (with config settings: 1), he/she will have to wear a gas mask as well as a gas tank. The gas mask does not lose durability. Note that gas tanks will also lose durability underground when wearing. Gas masks can be weared like a helmet, and gas tanks as a chestplate. The mod from now on is no longer serverside, both client and server has to have the mod installed.

I would like to also mention that the textures are still a work in progress (not really my talent) and will be definetely updating them

By default its not safe at day, as the the sun is still extremely hot, and its safe at night with a gas mask as there's no oxygen left above ground.

 ZOMBIE AI 0.1.6.0

 This updates goal was to make the surface even harder to survive, and encourage players to live underground, but also make players consider surviving or making a stable base on the surface some sort of achievement! Zombies can now destroy blocks that are between the player and itself, which stops players from building bases. However, there is still a way to build a base on the surface. You can use Reinforced Concrete and Reinforced Glass, that zombies can't destroy, to build a wall around your village, base. It does take some time for zombies to destroy blocks depending on how strong they normally are. Zombies also do not burn in the sun from now.
 

THIS MOD REQUIRES INSTALLING GECKOLIB 

Instruction (0.1.4.3+)

For Server:

  1. First download the file from the curseforge website and put it into the mods folder

  2. If you want to edit the config go into the server files and config/burningsunlight-common.toml (if does not exist, launch server)

  3. Start the server. The headstart will pause every time there is no players online.

For Client (SINGLEPLAYER):

  1. First download the file from the curseforge website and put it into the mods folder

  2. If you want to edit the config go into the game files and config/burningsunlight-common.toml (if does not exist create a world)

  3. Launch or create a world.
