Do you think it's realistic to place lit furnaces near flammable blocks? I don't think so... LET'S CHANGE THAT!
Furnace blocks will now trigger a fire spread effect if there is a flammable block nearby while the furnace is lit.
The spread is checked every 5 seconds within a 2 block radius by default, starting from the furnace block to initiate the fire.
