Description
Broglis Bugs aims to add as many ambient and functional bug related mobs to Minecraft as possible.
Each bug comes complete with smooth animations and great textures, some have multiple variations and some even have special functions! All the bugs can be caught with the unique new tool, the bug net which will add the bug to your inventory as an item. Once captured you can eat any of the bugs raw or cook them on the campfire, alternatively you can choose to place the bugs back down wherever you like by right clicking them on the ground.
The Bug Collector:
The bug collector is finally here, much like a wandering trader they will appear and disappear randomly almost anywhere in the world. They currently offer salt for any slugs and snails you may have found or a worm farm in exchange for a worm.
Implemented Bugs:
Slugs and snails are slow moving passive mobs that spawn in forests and swamps, their slime can be collected by right clicking them with a glass bottle which can then be cooked in a furnace to turn it into a slime ball. Slugs love munching on red mushrooms and snails love brown ones. Each have 2 styles and a special banana slug variant can be found in jungles and taiga which likes slices of melon.
As of version 0.1.0 slugs and snails will now seek out and eat your crops.
Grasshoppers are an ambient mob that you will find jumping around and chirping to each other in plains and meadows biomes.
Ladybird/Ladybugs are an ambient flying mob that spawn in plains and forests. Like all other bugs they can be caught with the bug net but currently have no usage other than looking pretty. Comes in 4 styles and can be tempted with some sweet berries.
Stick insects are another ambient mob that will occasionally spawn when you break leaves, they'll stand still to avoid suspicion but will follow you if you have a tasty apple in hand. They can be used for crafting instead of sticks in any recipe that requires them.
Ants have been added and can be spawned in creative but currently have no use.
Hercules beetles have been added and can be spawned in creative but currently have no use.
Worms will drop occasionally when dirt blocks are broken and are needed to make leachate in the worm farm.
Implemented Blocks:
The worm farm cant be obtained by trading with the Bug Collector, it requires 8 small compostable items or 4 big ones and 4 worms, once its full right click it with a bucket to get yourself a bucket of leachate.
Leachate can be put down in the ground to slowly turn all the dirt blocks around it into enriched dirt.
Enriched dirt can be tilled with a hoe to make enriched farmland, which does not require a source of water to stay hydrated and will also grow crops faster. Wherever you plan to use this make sure you still have a source of light.
Salt can be obtained by trading with the bug collector and is needed for protecting your crops from slug and snails.
Getting Started:

To begin you'll need to craft a bug net, first you'll need to craft some netting.

With three netting and two sticks you can craft the bug net, remember stick insects can be used instead of sticks in any recipe!

Once you've been using your bug net for a while it'll need repairing, this can be done with some extra netting on the anvil.
Upcoming Features:
Soon to come are a number of new mobs. Currently in the works is a new pond structure to act as a home for dragonfly nymphs, by feeding them you'll see them turn into giant dragonflies. For the right price the bug collector might even sell you a special saddle. Items and entities have been added for ants and hercules beetles but they don't spawn naturally yet, more features will be released for them when they're ready.
Broglis Bugs requires Forge and Geckolib.
