The Better Eating Mod seeks to eliminate a simple yet persistent problem in Minecraft - there is no delay between eating and placing blocks, interacting with blocks, or using other items. If you eat and become full and are holding torches in your off-hand, for instance, you'll immediately place a torch down.
This mod adds a fully configurable delay between eating food and placing blocks, interacting with blocks, or using (some) items. This can be between 0 and 20 ticks (0-1 seconds), configurable through the mod menu. Each category (placing blocks, interacting with blocks, and item usage) can be toggled, depending on your preferences.
This mod requires the Fabric API and Cloth Config. Mod Menu is recommended, but not required.
