What's changed since Mario Kart MC?

Performance and stability are much improved.
Single-player offering is a lot better with the addition of AI.
There are many new exclusive tracks!
Items and the item system are re-worked, improving gameplay dramatically.
The lobby is streamlined, but still offers more customization than before.
There are several new modes to play, such as "Last-Place Elimination".
The track editor is much more user-friendly.
