Starcatcher Delight Compatibility Fix

A small datapack that improves compatibility between Starcatcher Delight and Farmer's Delight.

By default, some vanilla fish (such as salmon and cod) are included in Starcatcher's fish tags, causing Farmer's Delight cutting recipes to be overridden. This datapack introduces a dedicated tag for Starcatcher Delight recipes that excludes vanilla fish while preserving support for all current and future Starcatcher fish.

Features

  • Restores Farmer's Delight processing for vanilla salmon and cod.
  • Keeps Starcatcher Delight fillet recipes for Starcatcher fish.
  • Automatically supports new fish added to Starcatcher through tag inheritance.
  • Lightweight and server-side compatible.
  • No changes to original mod files.

Compatibility

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • NeoForge
  • Requires:
    • Farmer's Delight
    • Starcatcher
    • Starcatcher Delight

What it changes

  • Creates a custom fish tag derived from #starcatcher:common_fishes.
  • Removes minecraft:salmon and minecraft:cod from that tag.
  • Updates the affected Starcatcher Delight cutting recipe to use the new tag.

This datapack is intended as a simple compatibility patch and should be safe to use in existing worlds.
