Zombies Actually Siege is a simple mod that improves the experience of Zombie Sieges, a vanilla feature the occurs in a village at midnight occasionally, by adding some extra normal zombies with armor and a few special attributes.
When a Zombie Siege occurs, a random configurable number of "soldiers" will spawn (depending on difficulty) as well as a "captain" riding a skeleton horse, and occasionally a "deputy" for the captain as well. Each special mob will drop some loot from a loot table, featuring things like iron, emeralds, and diamonds (by default). You can make a zombie siege happen yourself by ringing a bell while holding some rotten flesh during the night. You can also do this in other dimensions to summon themed unnatural sieges with special loot.

Once all siege mobs have been killed, you will gain quite a bit of extra experience and win the siege.

Configurability

This mod is very configurable with the spawning of what zombies (or any mob) based on biome tags, so if you have any mod that adds zombies you can very easily include them into spawns. 
You can also configure the special loot dropped by the sieges, per dimension.
Both configuration files can be find in saves/(world name)/serverconfigs/actualzombiesieges

A: You can either use /zombiesiege, or use /time set noon and /time set midnight over and over again until one occurs naturally, if you feel so inclined
