Description

Feedback, general comments, suggestions are appreciated!

PLEASE NOTE: while other mods listed in the description help achieve it's intended purpose, NoMoreRecipeConflict should be treated as a dependency.

2v2 Survival is  a mod aimed towards filling a perceived gap when some of my favorite mods overlap.

It was created with the intention of playing alongside TSONcraft, Survivalist, No More Tree Punching, and Tough as Nails.

JEI is very helpful to have installed as the current  and planned recipes are tedious. NoMoreRecipeConflict is almost a dependency for 2x2 survival because it takes advantage of the recipe button to shift through multiple intentional overlapping recipes for a "select your output" type of feeling in crafting. (it is a feature not a bug)

Known bugs:

Recipes that require wood/saplings are intended  to utilize any Wood.Block, sapling or plank but it is not working out that way. Any help is appreciated.

Descriptions are wonky due to silly comma usage. Will fix.

Some items acquired through right-clicking disappear from inventory upon accessing a new inventory. Low occurrence, very unsure as to why this happens.

Because of the way TSONcraft disables the crafting table and Survivalist requires a crafting table to create cobblestone this mod adds a new way to obtain cobble without silktouch and a cobble generator.

Because of the need for heat in TAN and the inaccessibility of a furnace through the other mods, this mod adds a way to plausibly construct a furnace via limestone mortar and piecemeal construction.

Highlights:

multi-step Cobblestone recipe

multi-step Furnace recipe

multi-step Bucket recipe

multi-step Tnt recipe

One use 2x2 craftable bucket

New way to obtain water

New tier of weak tools for very early game

Getting started:

Mud, Stones and Kindling now drop from grass as you'd expect when digging around dirt and uprooting grassy areas.

Kindling can't be turned into vanilla sticks as the wood in kindling is too small, but is useful as a fuel source equivalent to 4 sticks.

A rudimentary tool (recognized by the game as an axe for No Tree Punch) can be scrounged together by binding a flexible sapling, 2 broken sticks (obtained from kindling or a stick) and a Knapped stone together. Right click the stones you receive from breaking grass to try and obtain an appropriate Knapped Stone. Crudeblade also has another recipe for early-midgame mass production substituting leaves instead of a sapling.

To obtain an often used tool turn a Stick into a Digging Stick (it can hoe 4 tiles) and craft the Digging Stick with a Dirt block to obtain a Flat Stone.

The Flat Stone is used commonly as a workspace (reusable crafting component) or can be broken on the ground(right-clicked) to obtain a Cleaved Stone, the Cleaved Stone can be used as an axe (deals you damage) or it can be broken on the ground to obtain a Heavy Edged Stone that has lost it's use in Alpha. The Heavy stone can be broken to obtain a wedged stone and small Stones, Wedged Stones are used to create the Makeshift Axe and Crafting Blade. Smaller Stones are the ones that give you Knapped Stones and also a chance to provide Limestone which is needed to create the Mortar adhesive.

String can be acquired by stripping Sapling fibers with the Crude Blade. (3 sapling and crude blade in 2x2 grid makes 2 string)

Obtaining adhesive is a good start and can be done by  creating tree resin by crafting 3 Logs with a Fire Starting Kit (2 sticks and a string).

The resulting ashen remains can be dug out with a stick and gathered in a bowl, gathering either Charcoal or Pitch. Bowls have a 2x2 recipe using 2 sticks, a plank and one of the Blade tools.  Pitch can be crafted with string to create Pitched Fuse, which can be reverted to string and used to make Tnt, Unlit Torches, and other recipes.

Crude pitch is used to piece together a reusable Hammer which is used to break open the Limestone rocks needed for Mortar. Unlocking Mortar requires obtaining a Leather Filter to strain water from Mud. Mix water and crushed lime and use the subsequent Mortar or Pitch to piece together Gravel into Cobblestone. Mortar to adhere 3 cobblestone into a Cobblestone Boulder, the Boulder is what you hammer to create the Furnace Top and Base. Use a crude blade to smooth out Mortar so that the Top and Base bind together properly.

Then finally after all that work, you fall in love with your new furnace and honeymoon in Vegas.

And thats the kind of tediousness this mod is about. It's not for everyone, but if there wasn't at least one person who wanted it, it wouldn't have been made.

Created with Mcreator because I have only just begun to learn coding.

Future plans and updates will hopefully include the kind of wizardry that comes with taking the training wheels off a bike:

Realistic Obsidian tools and color variations

WorldGen for Realistic Obsidian and configurable renaming of Vanilla Obsidian

Sandals (easily craftable 2x2 with the tiniest armor bonus)

Placeable Vase, Pot Blocks.

Fully functional, limited use, unfired clay bucket. Currently cannot scoop water and only has one use.

Improved, reworked textures.

Aspirations to have full integration with other mods.

Figuring out why recipe Metadata isn't being read as anything but 1.

More primitive technology themed additions within a certain scope that wouldn't be considered a complete different mod.
