Description

🛠 Spawner Config

Spawners in a vanilla context are arguably balanced, but this is thrown out the window when custom mods introduce new dungeons to the world. Spawners turn from a rare occurrence to a common aspect of the game and are very easy to exploit for large amounts of resources. Spawner Config attempts to fix this by limiting the number of mobs a spawner can produce; spawners that hit their spawn limit will break. Additionally, Spawners will now drop much more EXP & a small amount of loot when mined by a player, which encourages breaking them over setting up temporary mob farms. This is a perfect mod for modpacks that are attempting to balance out spawners while still keeping the mods that supply them.

Spawner Config adds in a config file at spawner-config.json which can be used to tweak spawner properties. By default, spawners drop 100-150 EXP when broken and will drop items from a loot table found in spawnerconfig:gameplay/spawner.json. Spawners will break after spawning 75-125 mobs. damagedSpawners config options (last 2) define whether spawners that break after spawning a certain number of mobs drop loot as well.

Spawner Config is a Fabric alternative to Mob Spawner Control. It is licensed under MIT and is available for the Fabric Loader on versions 1.16.5+.
