Choose an Origin and begin your game with special abilities, some of which help you out, while others hinder you in your gameplay.

The different Origins all have a different impact on the vanilla gameplay. If you don't like these at all, you can also pick the "Human" origin while playing with friends on a server.

Currently featuring 9 Origins (+ Human):

Origins Overview

Origins are now data-driven! Add or remove (existing) powers to your favorite origin, make certain origins unchoosable on your server, or add new origins with a mix of the existing powers! Refer to the wiki for more information and examples.

Powers are now data-driven! Create your own passive and active powers for truly unique new origins! Modify existing powers to fit your desires - change cooldowns or values to balance the game in the way you like. Refer to the wiki for more information and examples.

Active Powers (switching in and out of Phantom state as Phantom, and toggling climbing on and off as Arachnid) default to the keybinding "G". It may be bound to another key in the Controls menu.

Additional information can be found in the wiki.

Addons/Integrations:

Check out this page to find add-ons: Add-ons

And this page for mods which interact in some way with Origins: Integrations

If you're a developer, make sure to correctly mark Origins as either an optional or required dependency in your files here on CurseForge, so it gets listed on those pages.

Huge thanks to the developers of all dependencies, without them the mod wouldn't be possible (you don't need to download these - they are included):

I'm very happy to read all your suggestions! But with the amount of suggestions I receive, I can't answer all of them. Please don't be angry or sad because of that - I will read your comment and might take some of your ideas as inspiration for the next update!

There is a Discord server dedicated to this mod which you can use to talk to other players and myself. Feel free to join! https://discord.gg/VdGgwXwWNa
