Tinker-Style Modularized Metal Golems and Humaniod Golems

Description

This mod adds golems that players can craft from metal materials. Each part of the golems can be made from different metals with unique properties and attributes. Upgrades can be applied for additional abilities or stats.

Golem types:

  • Metal Golem (similar to Iron Golem)

  • Humanoid golem (player-like, can use armor, weapons and shields)

  • Dog golem (wolf-like)

 

Things dog golems can do:

  • Player can ride them
  • Humanoid golems can also ride them, granting higher mobility
  • With mount upgrade, they will become passive and mobs won't attack it
  • With size upgrade, they can hold more passengers
  • In 1.21.1, they can wear wolf armors from More Wolf Armors

 

Things large golems can do:

  • Wear large golem armor / use large golem weapon with infinite durability
  • Repair with ingots on them directly (others require repairing in anvil)
  • Wear special large golem armors (3-piece sets, infinite durability)
  • Use special large golem weapons (boardsword / spear / battle axe, infinite durability)
  • Use some weapons from Cataclysm mod:

The first row are items that large golems can activate special abilities. The second row are items that large golems can use as melee weapon without special ability.

 

Things humanoid golems can do:

  • Use melee weapons
  • Wear armors
  • Use shields to block attack
  • Use bows and crossbows (consumes arrow, so infinity bow is recommended)
  • Use Tridents (Drowned-like, doesn't need loyalty enchantment)
  • Ride Horses and Dog Golems (1.20+ only)
  • Use player skin (1.20+ only)

Be aware that humanoid golem will consume durability of used items
Modded Items that Humanoid Golems can properly use (1.20.1 / 1.21.1):

  • L2Weaponry melee weapons, shields, and throwable weapons
  • L2Archery bows
  • Tinker's Construct ranged weapons (1.20.1 only)
  • L2Complement special weapons
  • Twilight Forest bows and twilight / lifedrain sceptor
  • Ewewukek's Musket (1.20.1 only)
  • 11 items from Cataclysm, including 5 ranged weapon and 6 melee weapons with special abilities
  • Create's Potato Cannon
    • 1.20.1: ModularGolem 2.5.2+ for Create 0.5.x, and supoort for Create 6+ will come later
    • 1.21.1: ModularGolem 3.0.10+ for Create 6+

 

Golem materials (46 in total)

  • Copper (vanilla) - Heal when struck by lightning
  • Iron (vanilla) - Vanilla-like high health and attack golem
  • Gold (vanilla) - Heal over time, but weak stats
  • Netherite (vanilla) - Area attack, high health and damage
  • Skulk (vanilla) - as strong as Wardens!
  • Steeleaf (Twilight Forest) - High attack
  • Ironwood (Twilight Forest) - High health, heal over time
  • Knightmetal (Twilight Forest) - Thorn on your golems
  • Fiery (Twilight Forest) - Deal higher damage to mobs not immune to fire
  • Cardboard (Create) - Fast but fragile
  • Zinc (Create) - Reduce damage taken
  • Andesite Alloy (Create) - Cheap and mass producible golem
  • Brass (Create) - Resistant to magic damage
  • Railway (Create) - Move fast, high knockback, area attack. Hit mobs like trains!
  • Brimsteel (Blaze Gears) - Shoot fireballs
  • Totemic Gold (L2 Complements) - Higher healing
  • Poseidite (L2 Complements) - Special abilities in rain, including conduit attack
  • Shulkerate (L2 Complements) - Extremely tough, immune to projectiles
  • Eternium (L2 Complements) - Invincible!
  • Chaotic (L2Hostility) - High stats and builtin useful upgrades. Also more upgrade slots!
  • Miraculous (L2Hostility) - Unique hostility traits as modifiers
  • Witherite (Cataclysm) - Shoots laser and missiles
  • Ignitium (Cataclysm) - Shoots fireball, regenerate health when attacking
  • Curisum (Cataclysm) - Falling attack summon halberds, attack bypass armor
  • Manasteel (Botania) - boost damage and repair itself with mana
  • Elementium (Botania) - summon pixies to help with combat
  • Terrasteel (Botania) - regenerates mana and shoot mana burst to attack targets
  • Candy (Alex's Caves) - shoot gumball, stick target with caramel.
  • Magnetic (Alex's Caves) - attract or repell enemies based on mode of operation, and consume iron ingot. togain absorption
  • Nuclear (Alex's Caves) - inflicts radiation, consumes uranium shard to repair itself and gain attack daamge.
  • Amethyst Bronze (Tinkers Construct) - High health and cheap
  • Manyullyn (Tinkers Construct) - High health and high attack. Increase attack during combat
  • Hepatizon (Tinkers Construct) - High health. Increase armor after being attacked
  • Cobalt (Tinkers Construct) - High health, attack, and movement speed
  • Rose Gold (Tinkers Construct) - Add more modifier slots
  • Fire Dragonsteel (Ice and Fire) - ignite and knockback target. Immune to fire
  • Ice Dragonsteel (Ice and Fire) - freeze target and attacker
  • Lightning Dragonsteel (Ice and Fire) - summon lightning while attacking. Immune to lightning
  • Cursed Metal (Goety) - Fire immune and armor penetration
  • Dark Metal (Goety) - High fire/explosion/magic resistance, high regeneration, use soul energy to repair itself and equipments, and turn killed creatures into haunted armor servants
  • Wroughtnaut (Mowzie's Mobs) - Fire / Magic / Projectile immunity, can do fall attack causing shockwaves. Damage may bypass armor
  • Allthemodium (ATM) - High stats, more upgrade slots, and builtin utilities
  • Vibranium (ATM) - Higher stats, a lot more upgrade slots, and builtin utilities
  • Unobtainium (ATM) - Highest stats, too many upgrade slots, and builtin utilities
  • Apocalyptium (Goety Revelation) - ???
  • Molten Metal (Legendary Monster) - smash attack with stun

Upgrades

Each golem can have one upgrade per part: metal golem can have 4, humanoid can have 3, and dog golem can have 2.

How to Assemble a Golem

Step 1: Craft several golem templates

 

Step 2: Use stone cutter to get clay golem parts

 

Step 3: Apply metals onto the clay parts in anvil or Create's Mixer (heated, doesn't cost exp)

 

Step 4: Assemble golems in crafting table

 

Step 5: (Optional) Apply upgrades in anvil or using Create's Deployer (doesn't cost exp)

How to Install

Download Forge & Java

Download Forge from the offical Site or here. If you dont have Java installed then install it now from here. After Downloading Forge you can run the file with Java.

Prepare

Lounch Minecraft and select your Forge istallation as Version this will create a Folder called Mods.

Add Mods

Type Win+R and type %appdata% and open the .minecraft Folder. There will you find your Folder called Mods. Place all Mods you want to play in this Folder

You are now Ready. Re-start your Game and start Playing.
