Description

Lorien-Legacies

Lorien Legacies seeks so recreate Lorien Legacies in Minecraft. It adds legacies such as Avex, Lumen, Telekinesis and Pondus, as well as loric items. Included is a full stamina and XP system, and multiplayer support too. In future, we plan to add Lorien (the planet), Chimaera, mogodorians, generated structures and more (and please do ask if you have a feature request). See our GitHub repo for a full project roadmap.

Unofficial 1.20 Port

You can find an updated rewrite / port of the mod for newer Minecraft versions here.

Active legacies

  • Lumen - flammable hands, fire and levels resistance, and fire powers
  • Telekinesis - move, levitate and launch mobs and blocks
  • Pondus - ability to change density to walk on water, lava or air, and deflect projectiles
  • Glacen - frost touch, ice bolt and ice powers
  • Submari - water breathing, water vision, and water vortex
  • Avex - flight

Each legacy has 4 levels, which alter their abilities and provide new ones. You can see a list of all levels here.

Passive legacies

  • Fortem - strength
  • Novis - invisibility
  • Regeneras - strength
  • Accelix - swiftness
  • Noxen - night vision

Effects scale with level. Once again, see here for a list.

Items and blocks

  • Loralite / Loralite Ore - ore used in lorien recipes
  • Loralite block - decorative block made from loralite
  • Loric stone - used to grant players more legacies
  • Loric book - given by the Garde to all Lorien, containing descriptions of all given legacies, your current level, and an in-game FAQ.
  • Concealed knife - a weak, concealed blade (part of WIP Loric items)

Commands

  • /legacies - displays legacies the player has
  • /regiveLegacies - gives a player new legacies (and takes away the old ones)
  • /giveLegacy <legacy> - gives player a legacy
  • /legacyLevels <legacy> - displays levels for legacy
  • /maxLegacyLevels - maxes out levels of all current legacies

Stamina and XP

You gain XP any time a legacy is active, most often by using stamina (unless in creative mode, where stamina does not apply, in which case you only gain XP). The exact rate at which the player gains and loses XP and stamina can be changed in the config.

Keybinds

  • Some legacies are always active, like Lumen. Others, like Avex, can be toggled. The default key for this is left alt.
  • Some legacies have abilities. The ability menu can be brought up with Z.
  • The last used legacy can be toggled by holding down ` (the key above tab).

Legacy generation

The mod is balanced so that each player will have a different experience. Legacies are randomly assigned to each player, and the exact process is designed to provide a fair and balanced experience. You change how it all works in the config, but it's a bit too in-depth to explain here - view it on our GitHub instead.
