The mod adds various Armor sets, a block(Chalice), several item Staves(Quality of Life Magical Items) and the core items for the mod, the Goblet and Great Essence.

The armor sets are for the most part Diamond Tiered armor, with the exception of certain armor sets, like the Wither set and the Enderdragon set. This mod is intended to be used mainly as a cosmetic pack, for mods like Cosmetic Armor mod.

Current Armor Classes:
Iron Class: Added with The First Configuration Update. These armor sets are slightly more durable then vanilla Iron armor and they require no Filled Goblets to craft. They serve as starter sets for early adventurers. Can be reapired with iron.
Diamond Class: Is the most common tier. They are made with Goblets and iron armor. They are effectively Diamond armor and can be repaired with Diamonds.
Special Diamond Class: These armors usually have Diamond stats, but in addition, they have special abilities. They require Diamond armor and Filled Goblets to make. Diamonds can repair them.
Netherite Class Identical to Netherite Armor. Requires Netherite to craft(In Future Update) and they require Netherite to repair.
Special Netherite Class: Netherite Stats, without the Knockback Resist and item Fire Protection. They have other stats or abilities to make up for the missing effects.

Current Armors with Effects/Non Vanilla Stats:
Blaze Set

Class: Special Diamond Class

Grants the user a Fire Resistance.
Ocean Set

Class: Special Diamond Class

Grants the user the Conduit Power and Haste II while in water, allowing them to remain underwater similar to a conduit.
Spider Set

Class: Special Diamond Class

Grants the user Jump Boost on Sneak. Grants the user Night Vision on a 2 second held Sneak.

End Set

Class: Special Diamond Class

Grants the user Slow Fall on Sneak, Higher Knockback Resist.

Silverfish Set:

Class: Special Diamond Class

Grants the user Haste I.

Path Set:

Class: Special Diamond Class

Speed Boost on Sprint and Sneak.

Crossbow Set:

Class: Special Diamond Class

Procs Glowing on Invisible mobs around you. Applies Glow on hit.

Nether Set:

Class: Special Diamond Class

Each armor piece acts like gold, where Piglins become neutral.

Wither Set:

Class: Special Netherite Class

Grants the user Strength II

Items:

Water Stave:

• Acts like a bucket, leaves no bucket item in inventory.
• Hitting a Zombie will "Drown" it.
  

Air Stave:

• Right Clicking a soaked sponge will dry it.
• Right clicking water will remove it.
• Hitting a Drowned will "dry" it.
  Lava Stave:
• Acts like a lava bucket, leaves no bucket item in inventory.
• Hitting a mob will set it on fire.
  

Filled Goblet:

• Used to craft a full set of armor. (4 uses in a crafting table)
• Can be consumed/Eaten/Drunk?
  

Blocks:

Filled Great Chalice: When filled with great essence, it gains the following Interactions:

• Glass Bottle grants a Bottle o' Enchanting.
• Water bucket grants 64 Water Staves.
  
• Lava Bucket grants 16 Lava Staves.
• Flint & Steal grants 64 Dry Staves.
• Empty Goblet grants a Filled Goblet.
• Emanates Redstone signals!

 

Weapons:

There are several craftable weapons. They are reskins of Netherite weapons and axes.

The One Who Fell

Category: Boss Fight
Read The First Font if you wish to find it. Careful with this fight, it can easily destroy dropped items. Be ready. Proceed with caution, and move away from the spot from where you beckoned it.

 

Whoever figures out how to summon it first and posts it in the comments, gets to live on in the mod's credits and gets to design a cosmetic armor set(As in, provide references, I will decide how it will look ingame). GreenForzeGaming has figured it out!

 

Gremlin

Category: Rare Mob

A small creature who lurks in the Netherwart forests. Be careful, they have a mean push. W.I.P.

 

 

Blind Lizzy

Category: Rare Mob

Rare spawn in Drip stone caves. Runs from loud players. When given diamonds, it can grant various returns. Drops diamonds on death.

 

Armored Ghoul

Category: Rare Mob

A Zombie like creature with a chance to drop Great Essence and armor.

• JEI if you are having issues with the in game recipe system or if you want easy viewing of the recipes.
• Polymorph If you are having Recipe mod conflicts, always a good mod to have.

General Recommendations:

• Better Combat To spruce things up and the other mods by the same author!
• ParCool, Makes the game so much more fluid when combined with Better Combat.
• Magic themed mods.
• Difficulty mods. Namely ones that add new mobs or RPG style systems.
• Dungeon Mods.

• Epic Knights, Knight themed armors sets, more medieval themed and complete with a plethora of weapons!
• Epic Paladins, a magical themed mod!
• Conquest's Medieval Armors, a Medieval themed mod, with a pretty broad spectrum of cultures.
• Reldas Medieval Armors, A x32 resolution mod. It adds all kinds of pop culture armor sets. Its currently on 1.16.5, and it goes great with Conquest style texture packs!
• Immersive Armors, A fairly similar mod!, the effects for its armors are more detailed and it works for Fabric.

Gamerule settings

Included in mod version 1.0.8, The Gamerules & Gates Update. To easily view them in game, if you are op, type /gamerule kq, and it should show you all of the available settings.

• Setting for Armor Effects (Default True)
• Setting for Mob Spawns (Default True)
• Setting for Magic item drops from chalice. (Default True)
• Setting for changing The Gate to on/off. (off)
• Setting for Poison Bucket mob drop. (Default True)
• Setting for Bad Patch Spawn Chance. (Default 1)
• Setting for Great Essence Spawn chance. (Default 100) I suggest decreasing this value to a 10 to 30 range, if you are playing with mods that make Spawners common.
  
• Setting for Small Essence spawn chance on failed Great essence spawn (Default 100) Added in version 1.0.9
  
• Setting for Essence from Spawner Spawn (Default True)
• God Stave is now legacy, and has no Function.

 

God Stave

The God stave is only attainable in creative mode. Its purpose serves for map configuration.

 

While holding it, type the following in lowercase within chat:

• knight quest mob spawn true/false
• knight quest magic true/false
  
• knight quest armor effects true/false
  

 

Example: knight quest armor effects false will turn off armor effects.

 

By default, all settings are true.

 

This is the best I can do for now when it comes to settings.

Why the mod?

I've always enjoyed customizing my characters in games. Vanilla Minecraft only contains one late game set and that's okay. This mod, with the aid of cosmetic armor mod, aims to add a plethora of choices to the visual and mechanical aspects of that without increasing Minecraft's current armor tiers.

 

Is this Vanilla Friendly or Vanilla+?

Probably not, its hard to say. Certain armor sets add effects but Netherite still serves as a general purpose high quality gear set. The idea is, yes, there are new armor sets, but Netherite is still the highest possible tier and there might be armor sets on par with Netherite, but they contain different effects. i.e. Netherite items are fireproof, and they have knockback resist.

Fabric Support?

I can't personally provide support for Fabric, however, another user, xylonity, made a version for it!  Knight Quest [Fabric]

MCreator?

Yes, the mod is developed in MCreator and I fully support it.

Is this related to the Armor souls mod?

This mod acts like a spiritual successor to the Armor Souls mod. They are two mods with different foundations. Armor Souls aimed to solely add armor sets, where's Knight Quest is an adventure themed mod, making what can be added to it more varied.

No plans for that at the moment. My models were made with 1.17 1.18 Mojomaps, so its a bit difficult to backport.
