Who said anything about mod's not making games more difficult? Well, This mod isn't going to make it easier. At least that's the goal...
A Death Checker changes "Survival Mode" to make it less forgiving to the player on all difficulty's.

More Info:
The mod will detect players game modes difficulty settings & depending on their difficulty will adjust to it accordingly.
This mod is for EASY NORMAL HARD Survival modes & shouldn't change Peaceful in any way.
Some game mechanics like not starting at full health & food.
Game detection for all difficulty's allowing survival players to play together with their own settings.
Exploit checks like leaving the game to avoid death or hunger & having to gamble with death cause of it!
Cheating death does have a debuff, but, at least your still alive!


This Mod doesn't remove or add MAX hearts or food, only the levels.

Easy Difficulty:
When you join a new or current world, your health & food will be set to 7 hearts & food.
When you respawn or die, your health & food will be set to 7 hearts & food.
If you leave the world or server close to death to avoid death, you'll have to gamble with a 50% chance of cheating death.
If you leave the world cause of hunger, you'll still need to deal with hunger.
You will lose 3 XP Levels on respawn!
You will be sent messages to confirm this in game.

Normal Difficulty:
When you join a new or current world, your health & food will be set to 6 hearts & food.
When you respawn or die, your health & food will be set to 6 hearts & food.
If you leave the world or server close to death to avoid death, you'll have to gamble with a 40% chance of cheating death.
If you leave the world cause of hunger, you'll still need to deal with hunger.
You will lose 4 XP Levels on respawn!

Hard Difficulty:
When you join a new or current world, your health & food will be set to 5 hearts & food.
When you respawn or die, your health & food will be set to 5 hearts & food.
If you leave the world or server close to death to avoid death, you'll have to gamble with a 30% chance of cheating death.
If you leave the world cause of hunger, you'll still need to deal with hunger.
You will lose 5 XP Levels on respawn!

When you cheat death!
I know I shouldn't make the exploiting fun but I thought it would be so yes, you can cheat death if your fast enough & lucky enough.
If you do, this will be your result. 3 hearts & 3 food. Lucky you.

Why did I make this mod?
Survival mode Easy, normal or hard lets you quit & come back without punishment. In-fact, you can play Single player minecraft disconnect & come back fully healed & with full food! Now that doesn't sound like a survival to me. The idea of this mod was to make survival mode more like HC without the perma ban or death.
In my opinion, this fixes some survival exploits in Minecraft Single player such as resetting attributes. Hardcore Minecraft always had these features but were missing in Survival modes. Now, survival can feel more like a survival & less creative.
